Known critical issues/bugs
- The app and the website are developed and optimized for Firefox. The usage of another web browser might lead to bugs. In doubt please switch to Firefox.
- The app uses functional cookies, which must be approved by the user. The approval procedure is not implemented yet. The usage of SpicyVOLT Sim as it is implicitly approves the use of cookies.
- It happens that after release of new versions of the app, the new features of some of the old ones do not function properly. In case of doubt, please go to the settings of your browser, and empty the cache.
Stable features
- Nodes can be renamed with any label containing a combinaison of alphanumeric characters (a to Z and digits).
- Circuits can be organized in a 3-level directory structure.
- Registration and password recovery up and running through secured email transactions.
- Design, save and simulate circuits.
- "User A" can share a circuit with a direct link. Any (un)registered user can access, simulate and modify the circuit. The original circuit will not be modified for "user A".
- Create math functions from simulated signals to be displayed in the graph view. This feature replaces the voltmeter in the version 2 of SpicyVOLT Sim. It can also be used to compute instanteneous power for example.
- Observe the dynamic behavior of a circuit in the animation view (the original idea of SpicyVOLT Sim!).
Features to be implemented
- Cookies approval procedure.
- Post tutorial videos on the website.
